Alex Hill

Alex brings over 20 years of experience directing large-scale energy efficiency, demand-side management (DSM), and distributed energy resource (DER) potential studies across North America. He has led the delivery of more than 30 potential assessments, including studies with a deep analysis of energy efficiency potentials in CO, MN, MA, RI, NH,MB, NL, PE, and ON – to name a few. Alex also leads Dunsky’s clean energy and building retrofit financing practice, performing feasibility studies, developing financing strategy, and designing financing programs and products that have represented over $2B in funds under management.

Before joining Dunsky, Alex spent over a decade in sustainability and clean energy roles, managing groundbreaking projects such as Canada’s first integrated geoexchange–solar energy system and the country’s first net-zero energy condominium, while also consulting on energy efficiency financing, environmental policy, and sustainability planning for clients across North America. He holds a Master’s in Civil (Environmental) Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from McGill University.
