LEED Gold target for Edmonton Recreation Centre
Retrofit Vendors Clark Builders, CDN. POWER PAC, Williams Engineering and RJC Engineers are partners in delivering the Coronation Park Sports and Recreation Centre for the City of Edmonton. Targeting LEED Gold certification, the Centre is anticipated to open in 2026. Clark Builders is self-performing several scopes of work, including concrete framework and architectural cladding. CDN. POWER PAC is the electrical contractor. Williams Engineering designed a wrap-around heat pipe system that increases the dehumidifying capacity by as much as 91 percent while using about 50 percent less energy than electric reheat systems and about 25 percent less energy than other types of reheat.
